Congratulations to affiliated faculty Professor Anooradha Siddiqi on the launch of her new book series through the University of Minnesota Press. Cohabitations takes seriously the historical interdependencies of built environments and constructed ecologies. As studies of past, present, and future habitats, books in the series collapse the distinctions between architecture, ecology, landscape, and art, and between human and nonhuman worlds.
Cohabitation is a planetary issue, of endangering events and their geopolitics, as well as the possibility of new landscapes and forms of life. Intertwining anticolonial, feminist, and race-aware scholarship, the series explores the liberatory politics and poetics of being in common, of living amidst the unruliness and negotiations inspired by cohabitation.
