Claudia Breger, Villard Professor of German and Comparative Literature and Chair, Department of Germanic Languages, was honored for her transformative work to strengthen community, mentorship, support, and care for the faculty, students, and staff of the Department of Germanic Languages, with a particular emphasis on recognizing and supporting language lecturers and their important contributions to
their fields and the University.
