Gabrielle Ferrari is a 4th-year PhD student in Historical Musicology. She completed the IRWGS certificate in 2019. In her dissertation, she explores the intersections of homosexuality, nationalism, and voice studies in the large body of songs based on the texts of A.E. Housman published between 1909 and 1939. The chapter she will be workshopping is titled: "Haunting the Lad: Queer and Ghostly Vocal Encounters in Shropshire."
Anna Reumert is a PhD Candidate in Social Anthropology at Columbia University and currently a doctoral fellow at the Orient-Institut Beirut. Her doctoral project examines histories of transnational labor mobility between Sudan and the Middle East, and dynamics of racialized and gendered migrant labor in contemporary Lebanon.
The chapter she will be workshopping is titled: "Mothers on the Run."
