In the margins of the seventieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70), to be convened at UN Headquarters in New York from 9 to 19 March 2026, the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC), through its Haiti Observatory (Haiti OBS), in partnership with the Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS) at Columbia University, proposes to organize an event dedicated to analyzing the nexus between sexual violence, gender-based violence (GBV), and organized crime in Haiti.
