A Black Feminist Approach to Life: A Conversation with Minna Salami

May 5, 2021
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
America/New_York
Online Event

According to author Minna Salami, "There is no other ideology, not socialism, marxism, black radicalism or white western feminism, that at its core, has created liberation theories for addressing class, gender and racial discrimination combined than black feminism." Using Salami’s new book, Sensuous Knowledge, A Black Feminist Approach For Everyone, as a jumping off point, this discussion will explore life though the prism of black feminism and the need for an Africa-centered feminist approach to advocacy.
